Product Description Twenty years after Danny and the Miracles captured the 1988 NCAA Championship, the 2008 Kansas Jayhawks -- in one of the greatest championship game comebacks of all time -- grabbed the third title in school history by defeating the Memphis Tigers 75-68 in overtime. Down nine points with 2:12 left in the game, Kansas decided to gamble and put the Tigers on the foul line. Memphis missed four out of five free throws in that span, which would have put the championship out of the Jayhawks reach. The strategy paid off, allowing Mario Chalmers, the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, to make what Kansas coach Bill Self called ""probably the biggest shot ever made in Kansas history. With 10.8 seconds remaining in the game, trailing by three points and with no time outs remaining, the Jayhawks quickly ran down the floor. Sherron Collins handed the ball off to Chalmers at the top of the 3-point line, who drained the heavily defended shot with 2.1 seconds remaining to tie the game at 63, forcing overtime. During the overtime period, the Kansas momentum proved too much for Memphis, and the Jayhawks cruised to the national championship. The official CBS Sports 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship DVD includes the commercial-free championship and semi-final games as well as a tournament recap and special bonus features. This instant classic is a must-have for any basketball fan's collection.

| Customer Reviews: good DVD of great game November 21, 2009 Ryan (Gainesville, FL) This DVD is a good, if relatively standard, presentation of one of the best NCAA championship games in recent memory. In includes the entire championship game and highlights from the two national semifinal games, which just about fills the entire disc and doesn't leave much room for other features.
Great Championship game dvd October 21, 2009 M. A. Scott (Kansas, USA) I really enjoyed this immensely and it's not that bad that the semifinal game with UNC was only partially on here. The important thing was that the whole Memphis and Kansas game were on this dvd. ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK'S!!!!
sweet May 11, 2009 Art Vandelay Excellent dvd if you're not a Memphis fan. Shows highlights of the semifinal games and championship game, no interruptions.
great games March 5, 2009 Lance S. Loethen would be nice to have full semi-final games instead of partial but overall it's a great dvd.
Adequate, but missing good stuff May 24, 2008 ZK (Kansas, USA) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
Pros: The Jayhawks won. Mario Chalmers will never have to pay for a drink in the state of Kansas ever again.
Cons: "One Shining Moment" not included. Bill Self's championship pre-game speech (which was shown in the live broadcast) not included. Kansas-UNC semi-final game has 10 minutes of game time cut from it. Memphis-UCLA semi-final game has over 20 minutes of game time cut from it.
I realize that a DVD can only hold so much, but maybe they should have expanded it to 2 discs. I thought it was going to be a multi-disc set anyway and at least the semi-final games would be there in their entirety.
